ObituaryReva Childers Reva Childers, 88, of Huntington, devoted wife, mother and grandmother, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted 3:30 p.m. Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville with Pastor Robert Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in Green Valley Cemetery. She was born May 25, 1923, in Cabell County, a daughter of the late Shem and Ida Bias Hatfield. She is also preceded in death by her husband Edward Chilton Childers; one daughter, Peggy Childers; four sisters, Violet Love, Cuma Cremeans, Ruby Ross and Virginia McCormick; three brothers, Eustace Hatfield, Clovis Hatfield and Clifford Hatfield and one son-in-law Edward Triplett. She was a retired L.P.N. from St. Mary's Medical Center after 24 years. She was a member of Madison United Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Nellie Ruth Triplett; one son, Michael Edward Childers; three grandchildren, Dr. Kimberly Triplett Lauder (Timothy), Denise Triplett Hipes (John) and Amy Childers; and 11 great-grandchildren, Ellen Phillips, Ethan Phillips, Jamison Lauder, Lacy Lauder, Madigan Hipes, Mathias Hipes, Kate Hipes, J.L. Hipes, Alea Hipes, Megan Childers and Julianna Childers. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2011 at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
