ObituaryGoldie Childers
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith, henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7,8. Goldie Childers, 88, of Barboursville, WV, loving mother, grandmother, and sister, went to sleep peacefully in the arms of the Lord Sunday night, waiting for the Lord to come and take her home. She is also preceded in death by her husband Hubert Childers; a son Wayne Bubby Childers; a granddaughter, Kathy Ross; three brothers, Lovell, Charles and Wilford Gibson. She was a member of the Salem United Baptist Church having been baptized October 24, 1937 and has served and praised the Lord faithfully since then.
