ObituaryDavid Lee Hicks
David Lee Hicks, 74, of Barboursville, WV, went home to be with the Lord on March 7, 2016. He was born January 24, 1942, in Cabell County, WV, a son of the late Dallas Lewis Hicks and Lucille K. King Hicks. He was also preceded in death by one brother Paul Hicks and sister Mildred Jenkins. He is survived by his wife, Karen “Susie” Scarberry Hicks; two daughters, Trina Warden and her husband Brian, and Polly Wrightsel; two sons, David Lee Hicks Jr. and Chris Hicks; grandson who he thought of as a son Shane Hatfield; six sisters, Betty Clay, Sharon Edmunds, Ruth Jeffers, Mary Roach, Melita Knight, and Sandy Dawson; one brother, Michael; ten grandchildren, Lee and Ashley Trippett, Nikki, B.J. and Shane Hatfield, Brittany, Budsy, and Hunter Hicks, and Emily and Austin Warden; step grandchildren Charles, Mary, Angela, Scott and J.P.; seven great grandchildren, Kayden, Aubree, Hunter, Doris, Coltyn, Brooklyn, and Willow. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor James Jobe. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton.
