Donna Gail Newman Bowen
(January 21, 1941 - June 16, 2018)



DONNA GAIL NEWMAN BOWEN, 77, of Lesage, went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 16, 2018, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She was born January 21, 1941, in Huntington, a daughter of the late Rev. Russell and Gladys Newman of Lesage. She was also preceded in death by sister, Patricia (Howard) Basenback of Huntington. She was a CNA at St. Mary's Hospital for 13 years, Care Giver for the First Huntington National Bank, Nursing Assistant for Dr. Hernandez, Pro Nursing, Volunteer at the Hospice House and many years taking care of the elderly. She went to the riverfront every Saturday to feed the homeless. She was a lifetime member of the Community Holiness Chapel. She left behind a loving family: husband, Rev. Phillip Bowen of 56 years of Lesage; three daughters, Cheryl (Terry) Baumgardner of Milton, Bridgette (Mick) Hodge of Wayne and Rhonda (Randy) Adkins of Wayne; one son, Tony Bowen of Lesage; sister, Carolyn (Tom) Parker of Barboursville; grandchildren, Brandon Cremeans, Jordan Collins, Jonathan Bowen, Jaylynn and Jaxon Hodge, Chance Adkins; and two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Brooklynn Cremeans. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Huntington. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Community Holiness Chapel.
