HELEN ARLENA "TOOTS' DANIEL
(June 28, 1924 - May 28, 2018)



HELEN "TOOTS" ARLENA DANIEL of Milton, W.Va., died Monday, May 28, 2018, at Paramount Senior Living at Midland Meadows, Ona, W.Va. She was 93. Helen Arlena Perry Daniel was born in Barboursville, West Virginia, on June 28, 1924, to Virgil Guy and Angelena Clay Perry. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Reece Daniel, her sister Leona Johnson of Grand Forks, N.D., and two brothers, Jim Perry of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Guy (Mink) Perry of Columbus, Ohio. Helen "Toots" is survived by her son Steve (Gail) of Lexington, Ky., and daughter Lisa (Jeff) Perry of Kenova, W.Va., as well as six grandchildren, Chris (Michelle) Adkins of Lavalette, W.Va., Hunter Perry of Huntington, W.Va., Daniel (Whitney) Deal of Lexington, Ky., Sara (Russ) Jones of Versailles, Ky., Jenna (Tim) Morales of Louisville, Ky., and Katelyn (Jamie) Flynn of Georgetown, Ky., and six great-grandchildren, Devyn, Brooke, Aubrey, Reece, JP and Miller. She was a member of the Milton Baptist Church. Helen is also survived by two brothers, Charles (Libby) Perry of Barboursville, W.Va., and Paul (Swan) Perry of Okeechobee, Fla. Helen, a widower since 1989, worked at Sylvania in Huntington before becoming a full-time house wife. She had a great attitude about life, a wit about her that will never be forgotten and a unique toughness/grit that can only be attributed to those from the Greatest Generation. Thanks to family, friends, and those from the Milton Baptist Church who took the time to visit and brighten her day. Thanks to all the caregivers at Midland Meadows for the special care and attention to make her days and nights meaningful over the past several years. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Wallace Funeral Home and Chapel, Barboursville, W.Va., by Pastor Allen Stewart. Visitation will be two hours before the service, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, W.Va.
