ObituaryJane S. Edelen
JANE S. EDELEN entered into eternal
rest on November 3, 2018. She was born February 12, 1946, in Louisville,
Ky., to the late James and Margaret Doyle Swift. She is survived by her
husband of 48 years, Martin Edelen of Barboursville; daughter, Anastacia
Edelen of Huntington; son, James Edelen, daughter-in-law, Lacy, and
granddaughters, Jacie and Lucy, all of Colorado Springs, Colo. She was
preceded in death by her sister, Margaret JoAnn Dupre of Champaign, Ill. She
began her work career in 1964 in the mail room of The Jenner Company in
Louisville, Ky. After moving to West Virginia in 1987, she worked for Cabell
County Schools as a substitute secretary and at several additional
Huntington area businesses. She retired in 2009 as bookkeeper for Huntington
Area Habitat for Humanity. She was incredibly generous with her time and
volunteered for a variety of community organizations including Kentucky
Railway Museum, Barboursville Little League Baseball, WV PTA, HFH Collegiate
Challenge, Huntington's Kitchen, HIMG Medical Center and Our Lady of
Fatima's annual Lenten fish dinners. In lieu of flowers, please consider
donations to Hospice of Huntington,
American Heart Association
Go Red for Women or The GYN Carcinosarcoma Project. Visitation will be on
