Obituary

John Walden Maynard
(September 7, 1946 - November 26, 2018)

JOHN WALDEN MAYNARD, 72, of Salt Rock, W.Va., passed away Monday, November 26, 2018. He was born on September 7, 1946, a son of the late Wilburn and Mae Bills Maynard. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Gloria, and one son, Brian. He is survived by one son, Johnny Wilburn Maynard (Denise); one grandson, Samuel Jacob Maynard; six brothers, Herb, Kenny (Edna), Harold (Jean), Zach (Jenny), Herman and Benny (Diane); two sisters, Eliza Sowards (David) and Roberta Adkins; a special friend, Ledith Salmons; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2018, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, with Rev. Robert Burns officiating. Burial will follow in Baylous Cemetery, Salt Rock. Friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2018, at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
