Marjorie Ann Byrd
(November 29, 1937 - July 18, 2010)



Marjorie Ann Byrd, 72, of Huntington, WV, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2010, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at Chapman's Mortuary, with Pastor Greg Tomlinson officiating. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, with family serving as pallbearers. Marjorie was born November 29, 1937 in Hurricane, WV a daughter of the late George E. and Dillie Margaret Call Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Byrd, Sr.; a grandson, Harold Danny Burns, Jr.; and several brothers and sisters. She was retired from Cabell Huntington Hospital. Survivors include: three daughters and a son-in-law, Lesonja Byrd Sexton of Proctorville, OH, and Mary and David Thabet and Rebecca Beckett, all of Huntington; a son and daughter-in-law, Billy Byrd, Jr. and Deborah Byrd, of Huntington; a step daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Burns of South Point, OH and Danny Burns of Scottown, OH: five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Wanda Faye Bundy of Indiana, Laura June and Bill Adkins of Willow Wood, OH, and Janice Marie Taylor, Iva Smith, and Judy and Johnny Smith, all of Huntington; two brothers, Billy Ray Taylor of Milton, WV and George Edward Taylor of Huntington; 12 grandchildren, Michael Byrd, Ashley Byrd, Brandy Lambert, Brittanie Sexton, Kristin Thabet, Joey Thabet, Zachary Thabet, Lakin Beckett, Amy Callicoat, April Cox, Amanda Burns, and Justin Burns; ten great grandchildren, Cameron Lambert, Xander Brown, Chandler and Aubree Callicoat, Austin and Hannah Cox, Serena and Dakota Cox, and Daylan and Lillie Burns; and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express a special thanks to the Emogene Doline Jones Hospice House, Dr. Todd Gress, Dr. Shirley Neitch, and 4N at Cabell Huntington Hospital.
