Margaret Burris Chafin
(August 30, 1917 - July 6, 2010)


Margaret Burris Chafin, 92, of Huntington, WV, died Tuesday July 6, 2010 at her residence. Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 PM Friday July 9, 2010 at White Chapel Mausoleum, White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville with Pastor Jeff Arthur officiating. Margaret was born August 30, 1917 in Point Pleasant, WV a daughter of the late James & Melva Burris. She was retired from Anderson Newcomb and Stone & Thomas. She was a member of the Fourth Ave. United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by 1 brother Edwin Burris and 1 son Robert Earl Chafin III. Margaret is survived by a loving daughter Roberta C. Bieber & husband Ronald of Huntington, a loving sister, Elizabeth L. "Libby" Deane of Huntington, 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, Lisa & Bob (daughter Brooke & son Bradley) Alexander of Huntington, Stephen L. & Laura Bieber of Huntington, Chris & Carrie (daughters Breanne Vega & Danielle Vega) Chafin of Hurricane, Bob & Kelly (daughter Ashley & son Zach) Chafin of Lenore, TN, John Michael & Christine (sons Drew, Luke & daughter Katie) Chafin of Sammamish, WA. Also survived by niece Judy & Gary Dison of Natchitoches, La, nephew, Ed & Nancy Deane of Richmond, Va, and great-nephew Casey Viers of La. Margaret was dedicated to her family and friends and will be sadly missed. In memory of Margaret contributions are requested to be sent to one of the following: The Fourth Ave. United Methodist Church, 3031 4th Ave. Huntington, WV 25702, The Cabell-Wayne Association of the Blind, 38 Washington, Ave., Huntington, WV 25701, or Hospice, P.O.
