Cora May Collins
(January 8, 1946 - May 6, 2012)

Cora M. Collins, 66, of Huntington, WV, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday May6, 2012. Her final days were spent surrounded by family. Cora was born January 8, 1946 in Glenwood, WV. She was an avid gardner, she enjoyed reading numerous books, and loved gathering around her kitchen table to beat friends and family in a game of Yahtzee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Collins, her father and mother; Luther and Nowlia Camp Cremeans; sisters, Bertha Meadows, Alberta Davis, and Rosie Smith; and brothers, Richie Cremeans, Eugene Cremeans, and the twins. Cora is survived by her son and daughter and their spouses, Billy Jr. and Terrie Collins, and Christina and Willie Williams; her granddaughter and her spouse, Tabatha and Ryan Adkins; two great grandsons, David Corbe and Aiden Adkins; and five sisters and one brother, Deloris Reynolds, Daisy Jenkins, Burnice Heaberlin, Lillian Jeffers, Julia Hinkle, and Mana Cremeans. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday May 9, 2012 at Chapman’s Mortuary with Rev. Don Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Pete Meadows Cemetery, Glenwood. The family will receive friends 6:00-9:00 PM Tuesday at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington.
