Virginia O. Parsons

Virginia O. Parsons, 89, of Huntington, WV, died Saturday May 12, 2012 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday May 14, 2012 at Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington with Minister Alan C. Cole officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Virginia was born April 21, 1923 in Cabell County, WV a daughter of the late William W. & Sarah Harless Baker. She was retired from the former Huntington Hospital and a member of the Twenty-Sixth Street Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis F. Parsons, one daughter. Marzetta Parsons, her son-in-law Frank Thuma, four brothers & six sisters. Survivors include two daughters, Della Meadows & husband Randy of Proctorville, OH, & Dreama Thuma of Huntington, one son Roger L. Parsons & wife Barbara of Bell Buckle, TN, six grandchildren & 10 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank her two special caregivers Trella & Trish for all their loving care & also Hospice of Huntington for all their care. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Friends may call at Chapman’s Mortuary from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Sunday May 13, 2012.
