Martha J. Edmonds Stover
(January 27, 1914 - May 1, 2012)


Martha J. Edmonds Stover, 98, of Ashton, WV, died Tuesday May 1, 2012 at her residence. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday May 6, 2012 at Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington with Max Spurlock officiating. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. Martha was born January 27, 1914 in Glenwood, WV a daughter of the late Jeremiah & Mattie Jane Holley Edmonds. She was a homemaker, a member of Moore’s Chapel United Methodist Church. Her hobbies were reading, quilting and working in her flowers. She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde M. Stover, 2 daughters, Florine & Maxine Burge, 7 sisters, 3 brothers, and 2 grandsons, Kelly & Jamie DeVore. Survivors include one daughter Wilma Tolliver & husband Lester of Lesage, one son, Lonnie Stover of Glenwood, 7 grandchildren, Warren “Butch Smith, Mark Tolliver & Richard Burge all of Lesage, Clyde DeVore & Christopher Rogers both of Ona, Lonnie Stover II of Glenwood & Amber Donn White of Huntington, 7 great grandchildren, Shane & Brandon Tolliver, John Garrett Smith, Reanna DeVore, Cheryl Nance, Jessica Burge & Richard Burge II, 5 great great grandchildren, Solphia Smith, Jesse Stover, Anna Marie & JJ Nance and Josiah Lee White, 1 sister, Marie Barker of Glenwood and many nieces & nephews. Friends may call at Chapman’s Mortuary after noon on Sunday.
