Harold William Jordan, Sr.
(December 10, 1922 - April 12, 2015
)



Harold William Jordan, Sr., 92, of Logan, Utah, formerly of Huntington, widower of Ruth Collins Jordan, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015, at Williamsburg Retirement Community, Logan, Utah. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Chapman’s Mortuary in Huntington, with Dr. David B. Lemming officiating. Burial with military graveside rites, by Veterans Honor Guard Post 16, will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. He was born December 10, 1922 in Culloden, WV, the eldest son of the late Joseph Ola and Lucy Jane Burdette Jordan. His two brothers, Charles Jordan and Eugene Jordan have also preceded him in death. He helped build & graduated from the first class at Huntington East Trade School. He was owner and operator of Jordan’s Services, an office equipment repair service, and he was a U.S. Army veteran serving during WWII, a member of the First Guyandotte Baptist Church, member of DAV Chapter 2, and a former volunteer driver at the VA Hospital. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Sue and James McWhorter of Logan, Utah; two sons and daughters-in-law, Harold William “Bill” Jordan, Jr., and Judy Jordan of Gainesville, FL., and Michael and Lucy Jordan of Huntington; five grandchildren and spouses, Amanda and Kelsey Austin of Gainesville, FL, Sarah and David McCallister of Taylor Mill, KY., Michelle and Brandon Morgan of Huntington, WV, Brook and Catherine McWhorter of Los Angeles, CA, and Robert and Vita McWhorter of St. George, Utah; seven great grandchildren, Grace, Emily & Will Morgan of Huntington, Jordan McWhorter of St. George, UT, Declan McWhorter of Los Angeles, CA , Luke & Savanah Austin of Gainesville and a sister, Geraldine White of Point Pleasant, WV. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 pm, Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at Chapman’s Mortuary.
