Obituary


William Gray Robinson, Jr., 90, of Huntington, widower of Betty Jean Cordial Robinson, passed away at home surrounded by family Sunday evening, December 13, 2015. He was born October 1, 1925 in Swiss, WV, a son of the late William Gray Robinson, Sr., and L. Edith Legg Robinson. William was also preceded in death by three sisters, Kathryn "Katy" Zolenski, Betty Summers, and Norene Heck; and two brothers, David Robinson and Jim Robinson. William was a US Navy Veteran of WW II, a member of River Cities Community Church, and was a watch repairman for both Wellman O'Shea Jewelers and later for Mack and Dave's for over 52 years. Survivors include; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Larry David and Sue Robinson of Chapel Hill, NC., Richard and Linda Robinson of Huntington, and Joe Robinson of Fairmont, WV; eight grandchildren, Shelley, Cara, Bill, Cary, Jessie, Tara, Brandi, and Jason; three sisters, Hilda Gilmore of Pensacola, FL., Mary Owens and Sandy Black, both of Huntington; a sister in law, Grace Robinson of Pensacola; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Bob Miller of Huntington. A private family graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Bill DeMoss officiating. WV Veterans Honor Guard Post 16, will provide military graveside rites.
