Obituary

James Madison Kimball, Sr.
(September 12, 1940 - January 14, 2015)



James Madison Kimball, Sr. 74, of Huntington, husband of Donna Jean Hodge Kimball, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was born September 12, 1940, in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Roscoe Boyd and Gertrude Elizabeth King Kimball. James was also preceded in death by his first wife, Shelia Ray Kimball; a daughter, Christina Jo Sayre; and his brother, John Kimball. He was a U.S. Army Veteran; a retired roll turner with Steel of West Virginia, and he loved to fish while vacationing in Florida. In addition to his wife survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Saundra and Bo Mitchell, and Mary Simpkins, all of Huntington; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Douglas Kimball and James Kimball, Jr. and wife Jessie Kimball, all of Huntington; two stepsons, Sean J. McComas of Pittsburgh, PA, and Aaron McComas of Ona, WV; a sister, Neva Chapman of Pomeroy, OH; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Monday, January 19, 2015, at Chapman’s Mortuary with Jamie Leonard officiating. Burial with military graveside rites, conducted by Veterans Honor Guard Post 16, will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Friends may visit one hour prior to services Monday at Chapman's Mortuary
