Jack Wayne Tracy

Jack Wayne Tracy, 82, of Huntington, husband of Lynda Ward Tracy, died Saturday January 10, 2015, at Kingsbrook Lifecare Center, Ashland, KY. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at Chapman’s Mortuary, with Minister Alan C. Cole, and Minister Chris Roberts officiating. Burial with military graveside rites, conducted by Veterans Honor Guard Post 16, will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. Jack was born April 7, 1932 in Sistersville, WV, a son of the late Herbert Wayne and Vada Margaret Ford Tracy. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War, and a member of the Twenty-Sixth Street Church of Christ. He was owner operator of Tracy Insurance, and had worked formerly for the Prudential Insurance Company. Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, and reading his bible. In addition to his wife, survivors include, three sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy and Judy Tracy of South Point, OH, Steve and Carla Tracy of Kitts Hill, OH, and David and Melissa Tracy of Huntington; a daughter and son-in-law, Leigh Ann and Josh Cochran of Parkersburg, WV; a brother, William Tracy of Huntington; six grandchildren, Chace Tracy, Brittney Emerson, Travis Tracy, Derek Tracy, Michael Cochran, and Elizabeth Cochran; and five great grandchildren. Friends may call 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington.
