Obituary

Richard Eugene Patterson
(August 9, 1929 - January 4, 2015)


Richard Eugene Patterson, 85, of Huntington, WV, widower of Norma Patterson, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015, in St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was born August 9, 1929 in Huntington a son of the late Harry and Rulana Tooley Patterson. He was retired from Ajax Manufacturing and was a U.S. Navy veteran. Survivors include: a daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Robert Kelley of Akron, OH; a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Angela Patterson of Huntington; eight grandchildren, Kimberly Roasch, Shawn Hronec, Todd Hronec, Richard Patterson, Katie Patterson, Nicole Clevenger, Aranda Fitzpatrick, and Breanna Fitzpatrick; six great grandchildren; and four sisters and a brother-in-law, Phyllis Pike of Easley, SC, Madeline Bolin of Grand Junction, CO, Johann Pike of Easley, SC, and Shoney and Charlie Edmonds of Columbus, MT. A memorial service will be held at a later date at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, with Pastor Ronnie Adams officiating and military graveside rites conducted by Veterans Honor Guard Post 16.
