Obituary

EVOLENE C. WALTERS, 68, of Milton, passed away Friday, Nov. 4, 2005, in Teays Valley Center, Hurricane. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, 2005, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, with the Rev. Toby Rinaldo officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park. She was born Nov. 17, 1936, in Hillsville, Va., a daughter of the late Samuel L. and Edna Jane Bowman Culler. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Homer G. Walters, Sr.; son, Samuel H. Walters; sister, Stella Mae Hiatt; and three brothers, Warren Culler, Moyer Culler and Jim Culler. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Homer "Duke" and Cindy Walters of Charlotte, N.C., and Ty and Peggy Walters of Greensboro, N.C.; a heaven-sent daughter, Dreama Kay Bruce and her husband, Gerry Lee of Hurricane; three grandchildren, Samuel Walters, Jr. of Welcome, N.C., Kalli Walters of Milton and Emma Walters of Greensboro, N.C.; great-granddaughter, Sarah Evolene Walters of Welcome, N.C.; one brother and sister-in-law, Wesley and Ellen Culler of Roanoke, Va.; one sister, Irene Hiatt of Hillsville, Va. and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
