Ronald Leonard Ferrell
(November 14, 1941 - July 19, 2011)



Ronald Leonard Ferrell, 69, of Barboursville, WV, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 19, 2011 in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2011, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, WV, with the Rev. Paul Meadows and Ray Scarberry officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Ronald was born November 14, 1941, in Gilbert, WV, son of the late Harvey Leon Ferrell and survived by his mother, Mabel Ferrell Dillon of Lutz, FL. Also his late sister Judy Ferrell Sedita of FL. Ron is survived by his wife of 28 years Patricia J. Chapman Ferrell of Barboursville, WV; his son Ronnie L. Ferrell Jr. and special granddaughter Charli C. Ferrell of Houma, LA; special niece Denise LeAnn Byers of Tampa, FL and her husband Matthew Kyle Byers, special nephew Christopher Jenkins and his wife Carol Ann of Lutz, FL, special nieces, Amanda Brumfield of Ona, Erica Collins and Jenna Scott of Milton, special nephews Michael Setliff, Matthew Brumfield and Mike Brumfield of Ona; his sister-in-laws, Colleen Johnson and Shirley Rolfe of Milton, and the late Gaynell Collins of Ona; very special brother-in-law, David Collins of Ona and Carl Rolfe of Milton. He was retired from C & O and CSX Railroad of 20 years. He was a member of Beulah Ann Baptist Church in Ona, WV. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a Vietnam veteran. He was a member of Minerva Lodge #13 A.F. & A.M., Eastern Star Chapter OES #95, Scottish Rite of Free Masonry and the American Legion Post #177 of Barboursville. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and marksmanship. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post #139, Milton. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday July 22, 2011 at Wallace Funeral Home in Barboursville.
