Darrell Eugene Black Sr.
(August 21, 1945 - June 21, 2014)

Darrell Eugene Black Sr., 68, of Ona, WV passed away June 21, 2014 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville by Pastor Truman Maynard, Pastor J.C. Waller and Pastor Bill Adkins. Burial will be in Bias Chapel Cemetery, Milton, WV. He was born August 21, 1945 in Cabell County, WV, a son of the late Lillian Black Haynes. He is survived by one son Darrell Boo Eugene Black Jr. (Tammy); special friend Delores Blevins; two brothers Vernon Black (Juanita) and Emmerson Haynes (Sharon); three grandchildren Rachel Black, Paula Black and Tabitha Burd; and nine great-grandchildren. He attended two special churches, Living Waters and Jesus Church. He was a member of the Mud River Coon Club and retired from Sears. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home. The family would like to thank St. Mary's Comfort Care Unit.
