Obituary

ETHEL VIRGINIA SPENCER
(December 27, 1920 - June 9, 2014)

ETHEL VIRGINIA SPENCER, 93, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away June 9, 2014, at the Heritage Center. She was born December 27, 1920, in Pine Grove, WV, a daughter of the late W.A. and Ella Mae McLaughlin Stackpole. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Spencer; two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her son, William Scott Spencer of Huntington; two stepsons, Richard Spencer of Barboursville and Earl Spencer III of Huntington; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2014, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. Kerry Bart. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Huntington. The family would like to thank the Alzheimer's unit staff at the Heritage Center for all their loving care.
