Patricia Marie Brooks
(August 29, 1935 - June 19, 2014

Patricia Marie Brooks, 78, of Huntington, passed away June 19, 2014. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. Jesse Lacy. Burial will be in Baylous Cemetery. She was born August 29, 1935 in Temperance, Michigan, a daughter of the late Lyle Henry and Violet Rose Stevens Cole. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Odie Otho Brooks Sr.; one daughter, Judith Ann Brooks; one brother, Ronald Cole; and two sisters, Bonnie Devaul and Frances Wilson. She is survived by five daughters, Brenda (Jim) Lowman, Pam (John) Dotson, Ellen (Ray) Adkins, Violet (Eric) Vance, and Lori (Shelmer) Hammond; three sons, Junior (Gladys) Brooks, Lyle (Brenda) Brooks, and Eddie (Teresa) Brooks; three sisters, Margie Cole, Linda Diebert, and Evelyn Bright; two brothers, Lyle Cole and Jimmy Cole; 26 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Christine Gilkerson and Hospice of Huntington. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
