THELMA PAULINE BLANKENSHIP
(July 5, 1940 - July 13, 2015)



THELMA PAULINE BLANKENSHIP, 75, of Huntington, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 13, 2015. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2015, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel with Pastor Paul Meadows officiating. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. She was born July 5, 1940, in Princeton, W.Va., a daughter of the late Marvin Daniel Rash and Gladys Pauline Matheney Rash. She was formerly employed for 27 years with Corbin Ltd., and retired from the Marshall University School of Medicine. She was a member of Beulah Ann Missionary Baptist Church where she played in the "String Band." She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Stewart Chapman Jr., and Matthew Chapman, a son-in-law Michael Mount and five brothers. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Lee Blankenship; her stepmother Mary Lou Rash of Clendenin, W.Va.; three daughters, Trish Mount of Ona, W.Va., Sherry (Rusty) Dobbins of Barboursville, and Lisa (Bobby) Reynolds of Proctorville, Ohio, formerly of Barboursville; three sisters, Gail Hughes of Nancy, Ky., Kay Craft of Mechanicsville, Va., and Faye Lester of Richland, Va.; one brother, Ray Rash of Beckley, W.Va.; eight grandchildren, Jason (Veronica) Napier, Jessica (Latoya) Napier, Andy (Kama) Reynolds, Samantha Taylor, Amanda (Brett) Bocook, Shawn (Monica) Mount, Kathy Adkins and Kim (Keith) Zimmerman; and 18 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
