Betty Maxine McCallister
(February 20, 1932 - June 6, 2016)



Betty Maxine McCallister, 84, of Salt Rock, WV passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2016 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2016 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Tracy Call and Pastor Steve Hinkle. Entombment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. She was born February 20, 1932 in Cabell County, a daughter of the late Homer and Marie Elkins Morrison. She was a retired employee of Owens-Illinois. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Homer Morrison, Jr., and Paul Morrison, and one sister, Vivian Perry. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Delbert McCallister, one daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Alex Bruni, of Salt Rock; one son and daughter-in-law, Phillip “Bo” and Darlene McCallister of Salt Rock; two sisters, Rita Johnson of Salt Rock, and Mary Hamlin of Getaway, OH; three brothers, Lonnie Morrison of Kitts Hill, OH, Guy Morrison of Barboursville, and Johnny Morrison of Kitts Hill, OH; four grandchildren, Denver McCallister, Summer Duty, Jonathan Bruni and Megan Muth; and three great-grandchildren, Madison and Grayson McCallister, and Colton Duty. The family would like to especially thank Betty’s caregivers, Angie Neal and Carol Rowe, her special friend, Joyce Fortner, and the staff of the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House for their care. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2016 at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
