Thurman Winters
(May 9, 1935 - November 13, 2016)



Rev. Thurman Winters, Jr., 81, of Barboursville, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. Lennie Romans and Pastor Danny Dailey. Burial will be in Morrison Cemetery. He was born May 9, 1935 in Lincoln County, a son of the late Thurman Winters, Sr., and Thelma Pritchard Winters. Thurman was a retired employee of CSX Transportation and a member of the Minerva Lodge # 13, A.F. & A. M, Barboursville. He was preceded in death by his son, Kelvin Winters. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Mary Frances Parsons Winters; two daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Perry Adkins and Pamela and Bill Morrison; one son and daughter-in-law, Winford and Annette Winters; sister, Deloris Esque; grandchildren, Greg Winters, Jeremy Winters, Ronnie Adkins, Ryan Morrison, Connor Morrison, Nicole Adkins, Krystal Adkins and Madison Winters; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.  Masonic graveside services will be conducted by the Minerva Lodge #13, A.F. & A.M., Barboursville.
