Letha Eplin Adkins
(June 21, 1925 - May 4, 2017)



LETHA EPLIN ADKINS, 91, formerly of Huntington, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 4, 2017. She was born on June 21, 1925 in Cabell County, a daughter of the late Ewell and Halie Adkins Eplin. She was a member of Madison Creek Baptist Church, and also served beside her pastor husband, Rev. Raymond Adkins, for decades in churches in the Detroit area and in Cabell County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Adkins, and brothers Leonard Eplin and Donald Eplin. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debby and Branson Woodard of Forest, VA; three sisters, Myrtle Colegrove of Columbus, OH, Lillian Estep of Barboursville, Louise Taylor of Southgate, MI, and one brother, Burgess Eplin of Barboursville; two grandsons, Jared Woodard, wife Kimberly, of Chappaqua, NY and Jonathan Woodard of Miami, FL; three great-grandsons Rowan, Wesley, and Henry, and one baby great-granddaughter, all of Chappaqua, NY. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Sunday, May 7, 2017 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Steve Johnson. Burial will be in Marion Adkins Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
