Helen Louise Chapman Jarvis Kuhn
(August 16, 1934 - May 25, 2017)

Heaven has welcomed another Angel in their midst. HELEN LOUISE CHAPMAN JARVIS KUHN, "Sis," 83, left this world peacefully at home after a long illness, surrounded by her loved ones on May 25, 2017. Helen was born to the late Locie Lee and Mattie M. Chapman on August 16, 1934. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Lonnie E. Kuhn, two sons, Mike Jarvis (Patty) of Lesage, W.Va., and Pat Jarvis of Barboursville, one daughter, Tammy Kuhn of Barboursville, one stepdaughter, Kimberly Strathman of Pineville, N.C., seven grandchildren, including one very special granddaughter that she helped raise, Mandy Bowling (Tim) of Red House, W.Va., nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by one brother, Basil Aubrey Chapman of Barboursville, along with a host of nieces and nephews, including a very special niece, Sandy Kuhn, who helped care for her during her illness. Helen was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Autumn Blaze Burgess, and two brothers, Forrest Lee Chapman and James Chapman. Helen was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and taking care of her family. She loved her children more than life itself and she lived a Christian life in front of them. She was a member of the Barboursville Church of Christ where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years. Visitation will take place at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, on Monday, May 29, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday at the church. The funeral will be held at Barboursville Church of Christ on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at noon with Minister Dave Gladwell officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank Hospice of Huntington for their excellent care during her illness. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of Huntington.
