Connie Lynn Rogers
(September 7, 1958 ~ September 18, 2017)



Connie Lynn Rogers, 59 of Huntington, WV, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Emogene Dolin Hospice House. She was born on September 7, 1958, the daughter of Lois Jean Wright Kincaid of Huntington and the late Jimmie L. Kincaid. She was a 1976 graduate of Barboursville High School and was an active member of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church. Connie was a loving, caring person and always had a sweet smile on her face. During her illness she never lost hope that she would see her children and grandchildren grow old, she never lost her faith in God and put her full trust in Him. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother.  In addition to her mother, she is survived by her family who she cherished and loved unconditionally, her devoted and caring husband, Joseph Len Rogers;  son, Joseph Len Rogers, II and his fiancé, Ashley  and their daughter, Jada of South Point, OH;  daughter and son-in-law, Kristina Morgan and Greg Peyton of Huntington, WV;  a granddaughter whom Connie adored, Saylor Peyton; and a grandson to be born;  brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Angie Kincaid of Huntington; aunt, Gail Marshall; uncles,  Arthur (Yvonne) Kincaid, Gary (Donna) Kincaid and Ronnie (Carol) Wright, a special uncle “in-law” Eddie (Diana) Canterbury; nieces, Amber, Tiffany and Chelsea Kincaid and Korrin Mills; father and mother-in-law, Joe and Jeannie Rogers; sisters-in-law, Cynthia Rogers,  Sara Beth (David) Hagley and their children, Hannah, Sydney, and Ray Hagley; brother-in-law, Todd (Shonda) Rogers  and their children, Tyson, Ian and Karly; special longtime friends, Joe and Karen McDonie, Brent and Lee Ann Beckett and Cathy McComas and her fur babies, Sassy and Murphy. Connie was a very special caring person and as a result she also leaves behind a host of friends, friends from church and extended family.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Nicaragua Education Shelter and Health Fund (NESH), P.O. Box 731, Barboursville, WV  25504; Fifth Avenue Baptist Church/Missions, 1135 Fifth Avenue, Huntington, WV 25701, or Emogene Dolin Hospice House, 1101 6th Avenue, Huntington, WV 25701. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday September 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Fifth Avenue Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Friday at from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Fifth Avenue Baptist and on Saturday after 10:00 a.m.
