Obituary

Judith Johnson Arnoldt
(April 20, 2014)

JUDITH JOHNSON ARNOLDT, loving mother and grandmother, 73, went to be with the Lord on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House following a long illness of lung disease. Judy was born in Huntington, W.Va., to the late Elsie Gladyes Johnson and Alfred Monroe Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her oldest daughter Debra Denise Huff and her only brother, Alfred Monroe Johnson II “Little Roe.” Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Tina Adkins; grandsons Brandon Adkins and his daughter Braelynn, Aaron Adkins and his daughter Chesnie, and Shaun Huff; a special Aunt Teresa Ball; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends all of whom loved her very much. Judy retired from Owens-Illinois Glass after more than 30 years of service and was a proud member of the Glassworkers Union. After retirement, she devoted her life to helping raise her grandsons. She babysat when they were little and spent many days attending school and sports functions to support them. They knew without a doubt that Granny loved them more than anything. Judy’s life was a blessing to many because of her unselfish ways, her giving nature and her love and kindness. There will be a celebration of this special lady’s life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the charity of your choice or the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, 3100 Staunton Rd., Huntington. WV 25702.
