Lee King Lowe
(June 20, 1926 - April 5, 2014)


Lee King Lowe, 87, of Belton, Texas, formerly of Huntington, West Virginia, passed away Saturday April 5, 2014 at her home in Belton. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 12, 2014 in Huntington, West Virginia, at Ridgelawn Memorial Park with Allen Lowe officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday evening April 11, 2014 at Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington. Mrs. Lowe was born, June 20, 1926, in Huntington, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Charles E. King and Fern (Halley) King. She retired from Cabell Huntington Hospital after more than 30 years of service. She was a member of the former Highlawn Baptist Church. After moving to Texas she attended the First United Methodist Church in Belton. Preceded in death by her husband, Riley W. “Buck” Lowe, Two sisters Helen Levy of Columbus, Ohio, and Lois Bodimer of Tampa, Florida. Survivors include two sons, Allen Lowe of Belton, TX and Riley Whitten Lowe Jr. of Hurricane, West Virginia; one brother Robert A. King of Huntington, West Virginia; five grandchildren Krissie (Lowe) Ward, Allen Lowe, Andrea (Lowe) Parr , Stephanie (Lowe) Duncan, and Natalie (Lowe) Elkins and ten great grandchildren; Alexa, Anson, Caleb, Casey, Connor, Cullen, Madyson, Riley, Rylan, and Shane. Per Mrs. Lowe’s request memorials may be made to the College Lunch Program of the First United Methodist Church Belton, 205 East 3rd Avenue, Belton, Texas 76513.
