Danny A. Hite
(March 4, 1938 - April 7, 2014)

Danny A. Hite, 76, of Huntington, being a devoted Christian went to be with his Lord and Savior from the Veterans Medical Center on Monday April 7, 2014. He was born March 4, 1938 in Huntington, a son of the late Cecil and Thelma B. Thompson Hite. Two sisters, Allison Wells and Jean Reed, and a brother, Jim Blackburn also preceded him in death. He was a Seabee with the U.S. Navy, a former mechanic for Aristech Chemical, and a member of the Buffalo Valley Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Marceline Burchett Hite; a daughter and son-in-law, Marianne and Drew Campbell of Catlettsburg, KY; a son, Andy Hite of Huntington; four grandchildren, Melanie Hite and Austin Hite of Huntington, and Casey Burdette and Kevin Burdette of Huntington and their father John Burdette. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Thursday April 10, 2014 at Chapman’s Mortuary with Pastor Tim Jayne officiating. Burial will be in Spring Valley Memory Gardens, Huntington. Friends may call after 11:30 am until service time Thursday at Chapman’s Mortuary.
