Robert Howery Keeney
(January 5, 1947 - February 3, 2022)

Robert Howery Keeney

Robert Howery Keeney, 75, of Huntington, WV, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022, in hospice care. He was born January 5, 1947 in Montgomery, WV, son of the late Robert Keeney and Sarah Lea Howery Curatolo. "Bob" or "Bobby", as he was known by his friends and family, was a coal miner for over 30 years in West Virginia and another 20 in Mexico. Robert loved to travel across the US and Mexico, learning and teaching his children about the history of each location. Bob relished in making memories and then reliving them through telling the stories of past adventures with cousins, friends, children and grandchildren. Survivors include: his wife, Erika "Patty" Keeney; five children, Robert F. Keeney of Florida, Kristina Stallbaumer of Florida, Sarah Keeney (Alice) of Nebraska, John Keeney (Constance) of Colorado, and Joshua Keeney; seven grandchildren, Katie McDonald (Matthew), Cameron Berg, Robert H. Keeney, Madyson Stallbaumer, Marlee Stallbaumer, Daphne Keeney, and Cora Keeney; cousins, Don Hall (Rhonda), Leslie Long (David), and Kim Dawson (Butch); and multiple other family members who knew him as "Uncle Bob". He was preceded in death by his cousins, Thomas Keeney Jr., Dan Hall, and Mark Keeney Sr.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, is assisting the family.
