Edward Francis Oswald, Jr.
(January 10, 1950 - February 5, 2022)


Edward Francis Oswald, Jr., 72, of Branchland, WV, formerly of Bronx, NY, passed away at home on Saturday, February 5th, 2022, surrounded by his family. Son of the late Edward Francis Sr. and Mary Kathryn Harms, Edward or more lovingly know to his friends and family as Eddie "Ozzie", was born January 10th, 1950 in the Bronx.
Eddie is a US Marine Corps Veteran who served as a Corporal during the Vietnam Conflict. After serving his Country, Eddie spent 32 years as a beloved and respected Doorman in the Carnegie Hall area of Manhattan. Eddie was a sweet soul who always was willing to lend a helping hand. Eddie, an avid sports enthusiast, loved watching football and baseball. He was a proud New Yorker who was a passionate fan of the NY Giants and LA Dodgers. Eddie had an immense love for animals with an open door and open-heart policy providing food and shelter for any animals in need.
Missed but never forgotten, Eddie is survived by his two sisters: Regina Savage (Daniel) and Monica Pezzullo (Anthony). His Nieces and Nephews: Danielle Savage, David Savage, Pete LeViness (Rosemarie), Renee Jennings (Edward), Danielle Sunwall (Jason), Gregory Kelk and Jennifer Kelk. His Great Nieces and Nephews: Daniel Savage, Ryan LeViness, Tyler LeViness, Kelly Jennings, Jaxon Sunwall, Kara Sunwall and Aubrey Sunwall. His Cousins: Marianne Bisson DiFabio (Fred), Patricia Bisson, Maureen Bisson and Tommy Bisson (Jackie).
The family would like to thank Hospice of Huntington for their assistance in Eddie's acclimation post-relocation and their unwavering compassion. Eddie will be interred at his family plot at Mount Hope Cemetery in NY. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
