Steven Lee Watson, Sr.


Steven Lee Watson, Sr., 63, of Milton, WV, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022, in St Mary's Medical Center, Huntington. He was born September 23, 1958 in Elkins, WV a son of the late William Edward Watson, Sr. and Helen Delores Raines Watson. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Carolyn Sue Griffith, Willa Lea Scott and Roselind Ruth Hinchman and a brother, William Edward Watson, Jr. He was a taxicab driver and was a member of the R.G. Hardy Ministries, Baltimore, MD. Survivors include: his wife, Charlotte Cummins Watson; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steven Lee Watson, Jr. and Marisol Watson of Virginia Beach, VA and Travis Leon and Shanique Lashay "Shay" Watson of Norfolk, VA; two daughters and a son-in-law, Nikita Rene' and James Ward of Delran, NJ and Roslyn May Currence of Chase City, VA; grandchildren, Dazsha Marrie Watson, Elecktra Thi-Vu Watson, Saul Aiden Watson, Isabel Vernice-Vu Watson, Samantha Luna Watson, Tabien Sollee Watson, Tiana Jacqueline-Kayleigh Ward, Caiden James Ward, Akirea Junice Ward, Sa'niya Janae Ward, James Louis Ward, Jr., Sidney Rene' Clayton, Tamekia Rachell White, Carolyn Sue Ellen Pritt, Tamia Lashay Watson, Samir Leon Watson, Travis Leon Watson, Jr., Shayla Lashay Watson, and Tre'von Laquan Watson; six great grandchildren; and two brothers and a sister-in-law, David and Tena Watson and Michael Watson, all of Phillipi, WV. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to noon Monday, February 21, 2022, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington.
