Betty Lou Meeks


Betty Lou Meeks, 63, of Huntington, died Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. She was born December 3, 1958, in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late Charles Frederick Johnson and Delores Heaberlin Thompson. She had a daughter, Barbara Delores Hart and a brother, Earl Johnson precede her in death. She was a nurse assistant at Heritage Center. Survivors include her children, Roberta Adkins of Columbus, OH., Bill Hart and Anthony Hart of Huntington; a grandson who she raised, Anthony Charles Hart; six additional grandchildren, Zachary Hart, Stephanie Hart, Aubreanna Hart, Jacob Litzenburger, Gabriel Kern, Jason Charles Adkins, Jr., Faith Ann Adkins, and Elizabeth Marie Adkins; and siblings, Carl Johnson of Huntington, Mary Ann Johnson of Columbus, OH, Janet Mae Coco of Ashland, KY, Chris Jarrett of Marion, OH, Billy Jack Thompson of Parkersburg, WV, Patrick Thompson (Jessica) of Ripley, WV, Debra LoPrinzi (Neal) of Ripley, Rebecca Evans (Scott) of Ripley, Charles Johnson, Jr. of Phoenix, AZ, Michael Lee Johnson of Phoenix, and Samuel William Johnson (Susan) of Springfield, MO. Betty will be cremated and a memorial service will be at a later date.
