William Robert Edwards

William Robert Edwards, 80, of Hurricane, WV, formerly of Huntington, died Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Hubbard House of Charleston. He was born May 24, 1942 in Huntington, WV a son of the late David R. and Florence Marmet Harvey Edwards. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Andrea "Sue" White and Florence "Gayle" Rowsey; and a brother, David Edwards. He was a retired teacher for Cabell County Board of Education. He was a well-known local artist who had a studio at the Huntington Art Gallery. Survivors include: a sister, Judith Morris of Hurricane; nieces, Stacy Addesso of Hurricane, Vicki Barnhouse (Austin) of Hurricane, Sherry Edwards and life partner, Sharon Maurer of Boston, MA, Terry (David) Fatellah of Pawleys Island, SC, and Andrea Hairston (Jeff ) of Ironton, OH; and two nephews, Jeff Rowsey (Billie Jo) of Hurricane, and Todd White (Angie) of Ironton, OH. Chapman's Mortuary is assisting the family and a memorial service is being planned at a later time in October.
