Dearlene C. Moore, 87, of Milton passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Teays Valley Center, Hurricane. She was born April 6, 1929 in Cabell County, WV, a daughter of the late Harrison and America Payton. She was also preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, Ernie Jacks; her second husband, Minor Moore; stepdaughter, Carolyn Bird; step grandson, Travis Yates and four siblings. Dearlene was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, Milton. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Kenny Yates of Milton and Julia and Darrell Covert of Red House; four grandchildren, Eric Sherman, Ben Sherman, Emily Cooper and Justin Covert; and four great grandchildren. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor Tim Messinger officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 3 at Heck Funeral Home.
