Obituary

Robert Lee Adams, 82, of Hurricane, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at the Hospice House of Huntington.  Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2007 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Rev. David Taylor officiating.  Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Gardens.  Robert was born May 3, 1924 in Cabell County, a son of the late Evon Hash Johnson.  He is also preceded in death by his wife, Emma Lewis Adams; his aunt, Grace Hash and his brother-in-law, Charles Lloyd Lewis.  He served his country in the United States Navy and then retired as a truck driver.  He attended Bethel Baptist church.  He is survived by his daughter, Arlene Kay Adams; one sister-in-law, Rosa Lewis Hamilton; five nieces and nephews, Charles W. Lewis, Richard K. Lewis, Linda L. Soderstrom, Alice M. Henry and Raymond H. Lewis; five great nieces, one great nephew, four great great nieces and two great great nephews.  He also leaves behind church family, special friends and neighbors.  Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2007 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
