Obituary

Violet Beatrice Rice, 92, of Culloden, passed away Monday, January 15, 2007 at her residence.  Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2007 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.  Burial will follow in Blue Sulphur Cemetery, Barboursville.  Violet was born August 14, 1914, in Cabell County, a daughter of the late John and Sylvina Deal Goble.  She is also preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Edward Martin; second husband, George C. Rice; and several brothers and sisters.  She attended Evergreen Hills Baptist Church.  She is survived by one son, Richard Lee Martin; two sisters, Rosa Wroten and Gaynell Linkfield; and several nieces and nephews.  Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Thursday, January 18, 2006 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
