Walter V.
“Horsetrader” Neal, 86, of
Milton, departed this life for a
better life on Sunday, January 7, 2007 where he won’t have to suffer
anymore. He will be able to walk, talk, and eat for the
first time in five years. Funeral service will be
conducted 2 PM, Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton
with Rev. Lawrence Dailey officiating. Burial will
follow in
Ball
Cemetery,
Kilgore Road,
Milton. He
was born November 6, 1920 in Milton, a son of the late Dan and Millie
Stapleton Neal. He was a U.S. Army
veteran serving during World War II. He was a retired
construction worker Laborers Local Union #1353 and a livestock trader.
He was a member of
Good
Hope
Baptist
Church.
He is survived by his wife, Delsie Ball Neal; son and
daughter-in-law, Danny and Lenore Neal of Milton; grandson, Davy Neal; Step
granddaughter, Deanna Boggs and husband, Tim; step greatgrandchildren, Tia
Boggs and Michael Boggs; sister, Evalyn Havens of Chesapeake, OH; many
friends at the VA Medical Center whom he loved and they loved and cared for
him. Special thanks to the staff at the VA Medical
Center for their care and being so good to him. Friends
may call from 6 to 9 PM on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at Heck Funeral Home.
