Obituary

Loving husband, father, and brother, Lyle Richard Davis, 71, of Milton, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 25, 2007 at the V.A. Medical Center, Huntington.  Funeral service will be conducted 2 PM, Sunday, January 28, 2007 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor David Taylor officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton.  He was born February 20, 1935 in Milton, WV a son of the late Milford and Maggie Davis.  He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Emzie, Denvil, and Lloyd; one sister, Dorothy Washington.  He is survived by his wife, Sharon Rice Davis; daughter, Misty Davis of Dunbar; son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Alicia Davis of Hurricane; brother, Delbert Davis of Troy, OH; four sisters, Hazel Foster of Durham, NC, Emily Goode of Troy, OH, Pauline Bruner of Troy, OH, and Helen and Earl Carpenter of Barboursville.  He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired as a glass gatherer for Sloan Glass Co., Culloden.  He had just recently accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior.  His love of life and happy go lucky personality will be missed by all who knew and loved him.  Friends may call from noon to 2 PM on Sunday, January 28, 2007 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
