Obituary

Harry Delmar Ball, 94, of Milton, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2007 in Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation of Putnam.  Funeral service will be conducted 2 PM, Thursday, February 1, 2007 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Rev. Allen Stewart and Robert Ball officiating.  Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.  He was born November 4, 1912, in Cabell Co., WV, a son of the late Martin Ball and Isabel Payton Ball Baumgardner.  He was retired from Union Carbide after 35 years of service.  He was a member of Milton Baptist Church.  He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Velva Chapman Ball; daughter, Beverly Ball of Milton and her fiancé, Albion Lee, whom Delmar loved and affectionately called “The Boy”.  Friends may call from 5 to 7 PM on Wednesday, at Heck Funeral Home.  Family requests donations to be made to Milton Baptist Church.
