Obituary

Wanda M. Burdette, 81, of Hurricane passed away Friday, August 29, 2008 in Sunbridge Care and Rehab of Putnam.  Graveside funeral service will be conducted at noon Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at BrownCemetery with burial to follow.  She was born September 17, 1926 in Cabell County, WV, a daughter of the late Hazel White.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Roy Burdette; one brother and one sister.  She is survived by one son, David Burdette of Hurricane; one granddaughter, Brandi McNeal of Jacksonville, FL; one great grandson, Kevin Burdette of Hurricane; two brothers, Jesse Higginbotham of Coshocton, OH and Butch Qualls of Columbus, OH; and two sisters, Mary Holley of Columbus, OH and Delores Longshore of Dayton, OH.  Friends may call from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
