Obituary

Ethel Mae Conner Cremeans passed away at her home and ito the lovig arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ leaving all the earthly trials and tribulations behind her on August 7, 2008.  She was a very dedicated and faithful member of Providence Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school until her health declined.  Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM, Sunday, August 10, 2008 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor Bill Spears officiating.  Burial will follow in Neal Cemetery, Milton.  She was born May 10, 1917 to the late Ludeal Wallace and Joseph C. “Nell” Conner.  She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years William Joseph Cremeans, and a beloved son Joseph Carl Cremeans.  She is survived by a daughter and much loved son-in-law, Roberta and Roger Casey; six grandchildren; two very special granddaughters and their husbands that assisted with her care, Diana and Brian Whitlock of Huntington and Joyce and Michael Wetherholt of Murray, KY.  She also leaves behind, Polly and Vince Conley of Ashland, KY; Nancy King, Betty and James Braley of Charleston, Larry and Jane Cremeans of Golden, CO; seven great grandchildren, three of whom loved their mamaw dearly, Corey Whitlock, Shannon and Alex Wetherholt; also, Aaron and Nikki Harshbarger, and their father Kevin and Morgan and Emma Braley.  She will also be missed by Linda Jenkins and Pat McDonie whom she lovingly referred to as her “other daughters.”  Also very special cousins, Geneva Sovine and Hazel Gibson, and her “little boy friend” Zachary Call; as well as a host of friends and wonderful neighbors.  Special thanks to Lee Anne Beckett, Ginger Kuhn, and Alicia Bell our special Hospice Angels.  Pastor Bill and Patricia Spears for always being there for us.  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.  The family requests donations be made to Hospice of Huntington.
