Obituary

Kenneth Edward Spencer, 86, of Barboursville, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2008 at Cabell Huntington Hospital.  Graveside service will be conducted 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at Forest Memorial Park, Milton with Minister Pete Davidson officiating.  Burial will follow.  He was born August 18, 1921 in Cabell Co., WV a son of the late Eddie and Glady Wetherholt Spencer.  He was a U.S. Army veteran.  He attended Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and was a retired glass finisher for Blenko Glass.  He is survived by eight children, Angela K. and Robert D. Owens of Barboursville, Robert and Kathi Spencer of Hurricane, Clyde K. and Crissy Spencer of Hamilton, OH, Sandy DeJarnett of Apopka, FL, Terry and Sarah Spencer of Winfield, Brent and Beth Spencer of Milton, Tim Spencer of Barboursville, and Donna Ferguson of Kenova; two sisters, Margie and Forrest “Red” Villars of Barboursville and Janie Spencer of Ona; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  Friends may gather in the chapel at Forest Memorial Park after 1:00 PM on Tuesday.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Challenged Athletes of WV, Attn: David Begg, 10 Snowshoe Dr., Snowshoe, WV 26209 or to your favorite charity in Kenneth’s name.
