Obituary

Hubert Arley Nicholas, 89, of Culloden, went home at last on August 7, 2008 in Hospice House of Huntington.  Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 PM, Friday, August 15, 2008 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Rev. Claude Spurlock officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton.  He was born December 16, 1918 in St. Albans, WV a son of the late Charles and Emma Nicholas.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Aldena Nicholas.  He was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Culloden and a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army.  He has awaited his call to see his Lord and Savior and be reunited with his wife.  He is survived by two sons, Jerry Nicholas and his wife, Lynda of Graham, WA; Ronnie Nicholas of Milton; six grandchildren, Kristie Nicholas, whom he and his wife raised; Rodney, David, Kelly, Shelley, and Christal; seventeen great grandchildren.  Special thanks to his caregiver, Lisa.  There will be no visitation.
