Obituary

SARA ELLEN PERRY
(November 19, 1913 - October 13, 2010)

SARA ELLEN PERRY, 96 of Huntington, widow of Walker William Perry, after 67 years of marriage slipped gently into the saviors hands on October 13, 2010 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington.  She was born November 19, 1913 in Salt Rock, WV, the daughter of the late Jenks and Ella Johnston Coffman and was the youngest of seven children. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Otho, Carl and Jimmy Coffman; three sisters, Gertrude Stone, Evelyn Adkins and Sadie Casey; one daughter, Clara Ellen Nelson and husband Gene Nelson. She is survived by three children, David W. Perry and wife Barbara of Jacksonville, Fl, Daniel Gene Perry and wife, Mary of Chesapeake, OH, John Eddie Perry and wife Cookie of Huntington, WV; 12 Grandchildren, 25 Great-Grandchildren and 11 Great-Great-Grandchildren.  Sara was a retired Avon Sales Representative of 28 years. She leaves behind a legacy of virtue and nobility. Her cup was always running over with a grateful attitude for her blessings, even in adversity. Her constant companions were kind words to others accompanied by a smile. She will be greatly missed and always remembered. The Family thanks all of the “angels” who brightened her life with Tender Loving Care at Huntington Health and Rehabilitation Center for the past few years of her life. We appreciate and thank two special angels, her nephew, Carl “Scottie” Coffman and his “Little Darling” who faithfully visited her for the past few years and brought her so much cheer, chips and chocolate. Visitation will be held from 10am to 12pm on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Henson Mortuary and. Funeral service immediately following. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington.
