DONALD RANSON
(Died October 29, 2010)

DONALD RANSON, 81 of Ona, WV, passed away Friday, October 29, 2010 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington.  He was born July 27, 1929 in Cabell County, West Virginia, the son of the late Fred and Ella Kirby Ranson. Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2010  at Henson Mortuary with Rev. Paul Meadows and Forrest Marshall officiating.  Burial followed in Forrest Memorial Park, Milton, WV. He is survived by his wife, Mary Stroud Ranson of Ona, WV.  He was a retired machinist for CSX, a veteran of the United State Army and was a member of the Beulah Ann Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one step-daughter, Tracie Slagle, of Grove City, OH; one sister, Janice Eddy of Barboursville, WV; two grandchildren, Brittany Slagle and Jonathan Slagle; a special nephew, Greg Morrison; special friend Forest Marshall. Memorial contributions may be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington. HENSON MORTUARY, BARBOURSVILLE is caring for the family.
