JAMES E. PRINCE
(November 20, 1933 - September 27, 2011)

My uncle, best friend, JAMES “JIM” PRINCE, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington. He lived most of his life in Barboursville, WV with his parents, Robert and Pearl Prince and then his brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Sarah Prince whom all preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by  his brothers and sisters, Jack, William, Claude, Prentice, Junior, Bernie, Josie and Catherine Prince. Funeral services will be conducted at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at the White Chapel Mausoleum, Barboursville, WV with Pastor Doug Spurlock officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion  Post # 9796 in Milton, WV. Burial will follow the services.  Jim served his country in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1957 with an honorable discharge and 100% disability. He loved life and his Lord and Savior to the fullest. He was a wonderful Christian and caregiver to all who knew him.  He was a member of the 2nd Guyandotte Missionary Baptist Church where his pastor, Doug Spurlock and wife, Rosie were his second family. He worked tirelessly at the church painting, cleaning and witnessing to everyone. Uncle Jim loved me and my family unconditionally and my grandchildren as his own, Pagie, Amber, Jacob, Paul, and Caleb and his beloved pet Friskie. We will all miss him, but he was tired and wanted to go home to be with his family. We would like to give Rivers Bend Nursing Home much love and gratitude for their care. Above all a special thanks to Hospice of Huntington, what a joy they were to us at the Hospice House, their devotion and time was a Godsend we will never forget. Uncle Jim we will keep the light on, Love your niece, BJ Camp. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until service time. Henson Mortuary, Barboursville, WV is caring for the family.
