TERRY O. VANCE
(April 8, 1947 - September 9, 2011)

Terry O. (Odell) Vance, 64 of Milton, WV went to be with his Heavenly Father after a long and courageous battle with cancer on September 9, 2011 in St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Henson Mortuary with Dr. Jerry Warren officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV with military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post #9796 Milton, WV. He was born April 8, 1947 in Wayne County, WV the son of the late, Frances L. (Leet) and Victoria Caldwell Vance. Terry retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a U.S. Army Veteran serving his country from 1966 to 1969, having served in Germany. He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church, DAV Chapter 2, VFW 1064, and the American Legion. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, James A. Vance and Frances (F.L.) Vance, Jr. and a sister-in-law, Linda Vance. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Lucia Vance of Milton, WV; one son and daughter-in-law, Terry O. Vance and wife, Lori of Morgantown, WV; three grandchildren, Russell and Ryan Vance of Indiana and Katie Vance of Morgantown, WV; five sisters, Opal Gay Vance of Wayne, WV and Vi  (Harry) Burgess of Charlotte, NC, Sherri and (Less) Ramey of Cape coral, Fl, Sheila (Kenny) Harshbarger of Lavalette, WV and Cheryl (Mike) Adkins of Wayne, WV; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.  The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. on Monday, September  12, 2011 at Henson Mortuary, Barboursville, WV.
